What’s Next for the LinkedIn Certified Marketers Program

Over the past three years, the LinkedIn Certified Marketers community has grown into something truly special, thanks to your passion, generosity, and commitment to lifting each other up.

As we look ahead, we’re evolving our community strategy to better support your growth and amplify your impact. Starting this month:

  • We will not reopen applications for the Certified Marketing Experts program in 2025, and we don’t have plans to reopen them for the foreseeable future.
  • The Certified Marketing Insiders program will be sunset at the end of September.

While these programs are concluding, your achievements remain recognized, and your voice matters more than ever. That’s why we’re encouraging learners to explore becoming a creator on LinkedIn as a next step. It’s a powerful way to share your expertise, grow your influence, and connect with a broader audience.

We’ll continue to support your learning journey through LinkedIn Marketing Labs, and we’ll keep you updated along the way. In the meantime, please check out the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) below.

We’re excited for what’s next.

  • How do I verify someone’s LinkedIn Certified Marketing Expert credential?

The best way to confirm someone's credential is to visit their LinkedIn profile and scroll down to the ‘Licenses & certifications’ section. However, LinkedIn will continue to host learning opportunities and community experiences as part of other programs. Keep an eye on the official LinkedIn Marketing Solutions page for upcoming events.

  • Why is the Certified Marketing Insiders LinkedIn Group being closed?

As our program strategy evolves, we’re consolidating our focus into one centralized community. Rather than keeping a group open without active management, we want to ensure all community experiences remain valuable and engaging.

Before the group closes, we encourage you to connect directly with fellow Insiders you’ve met, whether through DMs, new group spaces, or by following each other’s content, to keep the collaboration and camaraderie alive.

  • What will happen to the content and discussions in the Certified Marketing Insiders and Experts LinkedIn Groups?

Once the groups close, access to its content and discussions will no longer be available. We recommend you save any important resources, connections, or posts you’d like to refer to in the future. And again, don’t forget to connect directly with the peers and mentors you've met through the group!
